I'm a graduate of SUNY Polytechnic Institute where I studied Communication and Information Design.  In other words, I focused on graphic design and on the side photography and some video.

 

On the side, I help my Dad with graphic design projects for non-profits (St. Peter's Church, Catholic Schools Association of Rome, etc.).  Within the past year, I’ve been assisting more often with design projects, branding, and social media for St. Peter’s Church.  Due to the pandemic, it has required my parish to utilize social media more often than before, which has been a fantastic asset for communication and building community.  Recently I have also been working with a second Instagram account where I've been keeping my photography in practice, it helps me showcase my portfolio and network with others.

Aside from those things I also like to play with small projects in design, photography, and video.  Lately, I've been practicing portraits on my family and friends.  I find it to be loads of fun getting together with someone who wants a photoshoot, it helps me practice my skills, not only in photography but also editing.

Besides all "artsy" things I also like to volunteer and give back to the community.  I've been volunteering with a family friend's foundation, The Joseph Michael Chubbuck Foundation, since they began in 2013.  With their mission being to help cancer patients and their families as they undergo treatment, it’s an amazing foundation that I am glad to help out.  I also regularly volunteer at my church and many other community activities that keep me busy.  A big piece being the city-wide, ecumenical, Veteran’s Day Service I co-chair at my church.  I have been working with the service since nearly the beginning, ~13 years ago, and it is another service I am more than happy to put on.

Since graduation, I've been trying to keep up with my art skills on paper and computer, as well as learning to keep work, hobbies, and volunteering balanced.  I’m always looking for something new to do or improve on!
